Exam Type BEHAVIOR
The previous owners stated Ricco has bitten people in the past, but nothing resulting in skin being broken. Although we have not seen this behavior in the care center the information provided from the owner must be taken into consideration and it is recommend that Ricco would be best suited with an experienced adopter with no children. Riocco was shy but friendly during the assessment - low body and tail, but trying to stay close. He was nervous and trembled during handling, with fearful body language, but became more relaxed as the handling progressed. During the tag interaction Ricco became over aroused, body tense, hackles raised, ears erect and tail high, but did not escalate into any aggression and at the end of the game he approached the assessor with soft body language. Ricco showed no interest in any of the resource items and he rushed in quickly toward the helper dog during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression

I am a male black and white am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 10 MONTHS old. Weight 58lbs
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/30/2014 from NY 11231, owner surrender reason stated was PERS PROB.
