Charming handsome blue nose pup Rufus in danger@Brooklyn kill shelter in Brooklyn, New York
A volunteer writes: My goodness, what an absolute charmer Rufus is. He is the most playful and cheerful young man I?ve had the pleasure to spend time with in some time. While we were on our walk, Rufus kept turning back and looking at me excitedly, tongue hanging out? he seemed to be saying ?THIS IS SO GREAT! LET?S KEEP GOING! ARE YOU STILL THERE? ISN?T THIS AWESOME? LET?S GO! WOOOO!? I don?t think his tail quit wagging once, and it seemed like Rufus was more interested in playing than in walking. Rufus knows how to seat for treats and to take them very gently, and loves to try to climb into your lap for kisses and cuddles (paying no mind to the fact that he weighs almost 60 pounds). If you?re looking for a joyful, playful, and happy pup who loves to run around almost as much as he loves to cuddle, look no further? you?ve found him!

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 06/28/2016 from NY 11221, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.
VET CHECK FOR RHL LIMP PET FRIENDLY, HYPERACTIVE MM PINK PULLS ON LEASH, JUMPS RIGHT FRONT LIMB LAMENESS PALPATION , MANIPULATION OF ELBOW, DECREASED ROM, CANNOT FULLY EXTEND, CREPITUS FELT, NO HEAT OR SWELLING VERY MUSCULAR DOG A; RIGHT ELBOW INURY, MAY BE CHRONIC R/O FRACTURE. WITHIN JOINT, NOT OF LONG BONES P; NEEDS SEDATED XR OF ELBOW AT RESCUE/ADOPTION

If you cannot adopt foster ! Fostering is free and does not have to be permanent it can be short term but will save a life ..contact a rescue group from the link above for more info about fostering
