Friendly brindle amstaf Maxine & kitty bff need good home in Brooklyn, New York
Maxine is a shy older lady who was adopted from AC&C eight years ago, but was brought back last week due to landlord issues. I was smitten the first time I saw her! Maxine is short, a bit chubby, and sweetly approached me with a low wag when I called her over. Maxine takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, and will likely do best in a home where her family will give her the time she needs to become comfortable in her new environment. Please help Maxine find her forever home

If you cannot adopt foster ! Fostering is free and does not have to be pernament it can be short term but will save a life ..contact a rescue group from the link above for more info about fostering
From The ACC site: To help ensure successful adoptions, please fill out a pre-adoption application (http://www.nycacc.org/pdfs/adoptions/AdoptionApplication.pdf) and bring it with you when you come into the Care Center to adopt a pet. If you are coming from outside of the immediately area, it is strongly suggest that you first complete an application and email it to adoption @ nycacc.org -This will allow ACC to answer any questions and resolve any potential obstacles before you make the trip.
