Precious was shy but friendly during the assessment - low body and tail, but trying to stay close. She was a bit tense and nervous during handling, but allowed all handling, and as the assessment progressed Precious became more sociable with the assessor, leaning in, mouth open, licking hands and had a neutral tail wag. She was a bit distracted during the tag test, but softly followed the assessor at the end of the leash. Precious was a bit difficult to push out of the food bowl, but had soft body language. And she was easy to handle when chewing on toys and rawhides. Dog-to-dog: off leash she approaches softly, greets males and females with body oriented to the side with a neutral tail wag. She does not engage in play but appeared to be interested in greeting every dog.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/19/2014 from NY 11226, owner surrender reason stated was ABANDON.
