A shelter staff member writes: Fabulous Frenchy is a staff and volunteer favorite! She is a mellow and affectionate girl who was found tied to a fence. While she may look like a beauty school dropout now, with some love and a good diet I?m sure she?ll become quite the looker! Frenchy did very well on her SAFER, and has been polite and appropriate while in playgroup. She does have a low grade heart murmur that will require some follow up vet care. Frenchy will make a great addition to just about any laid-back family! Please help her find a place to call home, and pull her from BACC today!
A volunteer writes: Ooo la la! Frenchy is the most wonderful, gentle lady! She has an irresistible way about her and has quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers. She is certainly charming, but it doesn't look like Frenchy's been living a charmed life. She doesn't appear to be a stranger to motherhood, and the calluses on her elbows suggest the Kuranda bed in her cage might be the softest she's had. She is always very quiet and patient in her cage, but solicits attention with soft eye contact and does an excited tap dance with her front paws when our eyes meet. Frenchy seems housebroken and is very easy on leash - she softly wags her tail throughout and is very attentive. She shows glimpses of playfulness - a play bow here and there, but in general Frenchy seems quite mellow! She seems calm when we've seen other dogs and when loose in the pen she is much more interested in staying close to her person than running around. She is very affectionate and will prop her paws up on me in a hug, then wrap them around my wrist as I rub behind her ears. I can't get enough of Frenchy - she is SO gentle, low key, and loving....a gal that doesn't ask for much, but deserves to be treated like royalty! Please come see for yourself at Brooklyn ACC!
