Playful friendly pitbull Rambo in danger@Brooklyn kill shelter in Brooklyn, New York

Rambo was surrendered due to the owner developing allergies. The owner had Rambo for only a few weeks and has lived with only one adult. The owner states he is left in a open room when not home for about 10 hours. The owner also states he is playful with other dogs and friendly towards strangers and cats, but does not know how he behaves around children. Rambo pulls hard on the leash, but was extremely excitable, and was more interested in the surroundings than the handler during the assessment. He was a bit tense during handling, but had soft body language. He engages in play, loose body, wags tail, mouth is open. He showed some concerning behavior during the food bowl test - stiffening, but did not snap at or bite the assess-a-hand. Rambo was easy to handle when chewing on toys and rawhides and rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression

I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 12/27/2012 from NY 11235, owner surrender reason stated was ALLERGIES.
