Rex pulls on the leash and was excited, but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment - jumped up, licked hands and face. He was excited during handling, jumping up and was hard to position, but showed no aggression. He engages in play, loose body, wags tail, mouth is open. He was stiff and cannot be pushed out of the food bowl, but did not growl, snap or bite. He took the toy away, body language was stiff and showed minimal interest in rawhides. Rex rushed in quickly during the dog-dog test, but showed no aggression.
*Because of his good behavior with other dogs, Rex has been used to evaluate the behavior of other dogs at ACC*

I came in the shelter as a RETURN on 05/12/2014 from NY 11236, owner surrender reason stated was PETS CONFL.
This dog is located at the Brooklyn Animal Care&Control (2336 Linden Blvd Brooklyn 11208). For more information on a particular dog, email adoption @ nycacc.org (remove the spaces) but ONLY email if you are serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions. Also, have the ID# listed at the top of this post handy when inquiring!! This dog is in danger of being on the euthanasia list and could be scheduled to be killed at any time!
