Ghost is a 1yr old energetic pitbull who was found stray. Before being surrendered to ACC he stayed a short while with a family that had a teenage child as well as another dog. He got along fine with both and is friendly with strangers. He is very needy of attention according to them
Notes: Ghost is a high energy dog and constantly jumps up and mouths the leash/rope, but did not display aggression. He would benefit from obedience training and is best suited to an experienced adopter in a home without small children. Ghost pulls hard on the leash and was excited but very interested in interacting with handler during assessment - jumped up, licked hands and face. He was overexcited during handling, jumping up, grabbing at the leash, and was hard to position, but showed no aggression. He was distracted and focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag interaction. He did not resist being handled while eating, and was easily pushed out of the food bowl. He showed minimal interest in toys and took the rawhide away, but had soft body language. Ghost approaches the helper dog, body is tense, ears back, hackles raised and lip licks

I am a male white and br brindle pit bull mix. The shelter thinks I am about 1 YEAR Weight 68lbs
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 03/16/2014 from NY 11356, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.
This dog is located at the Brooklyn Animal Care&Control (2336 Linden Blvd Brooklyn 11208). For more information on a particular dog, email adoption @ nycacc.org (remove the spaces) but ONLY email if you are serious about adopting, and ONLY if you are able to GO TO the shelter in-person. Please do not email for status updates... the only thing you will accomplish is spamming their in boxes and causing REAL adopter emails to go un-noticed. Contact the NYC ACC at (212) 788-4000 for further automated instructions. Also, have the ID# listed at the top of this post handy when inquiring!! This dog is in danger of being on the euthanasia list and could be scheduled to be killed at any time! If you cannot adopt foster ! Fostering is free and does not have to be pernament it can be short term but will save a life ..contact a rescue group from the link above for more info about fostering
From The ACC site: To help ensure successful adoptions, please fill out a pre-adoption application (http://www.nycacc.org/pdfs/adoptions/AdoptionApplication.pdf) and bring it with you when you come into the Care Center to adopt a pet.
