Sweet friendly amstaff pup McDonalds in danger@Brooklyn kill shelter in Brooklyn, New York

During the evaluation McDonalds was shy but friendly- low body and tail, but trying to stay close. He became a bit tense during handling, but had soft body language, and he was distracted and focused on objects in the room rather than the handler during the tag interaction. McDonalds was stiff and cannot be pushed out of the food bowl during the food test, but did not growl, snap or bite, and during the toy test he took the toy away, and put his body between the assessor and toy. McDonalds did show some concerning behavior during the rawhide test - stiffening and growling, but did not escalate to a snap or bite to the assess-a-hand. During the dog-to-dog interaction McDonalds rushed in quickly toward the helper dog, but showed no aggression.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 01/13/2015 from NY 11221, owner surrender reason stated was SEARCH WAR.
