Stunning lab mix Leroy looking for forever home-an amazing dog in Brooklyn, New York

Leroy is such a gorgeous, wonderful dog who has had a hard past. He was originally found as a stray, and has been adopted and returned to the shelter 3 times. His first adoption was to a member of the armed forces who loved Leroy but had to return him when he was called to duty. He was then adopted by a young man who had him for a while but then his work hours changed and he was no longer able to provide Leroy with the time and care he needed. He was recently adopted a third time by a lady who cares for 15(!!!) cats, Leroy was fine with most of the cats but chased a few of them and they were refusing to eat, so here Leroy is, back at the shelter...a victim of circumstances. Leroy is a joy though, with so much love to give. He has the most gorgeous coat which is a royal bronze color. He does pull a bit on the leash sometimes when walking (he can walk for hours) and he has a LOT of energy...so he will need a home where he can be provided with plenty of exercise. He is great with kids and people (very affectionate especially once he has bonded with you), he is good with dogs, he does have a tendency to chase cats and anyone riding a skateboard (the skateboard fixation is from the time he spent in one of his previous homes, when he was left in the backyard and was taunted by kids who rode skateboards). Leroy does like to eat human food, so you will have to keep an eye on your dinner or you will be sharing it with him. I cannot speak highly enough about this dog, if you have the time and energy to provide him, and you don't have cats, this dog is for you. Be prepared to fall in love, Leroy is a gem.
