What a great, easy kitty. She loves to sleep on the bed, very low maintenance (doesn't wake you up in the morning), & adores everybody. She enjoys playing and gets more and more affectionate every day. A wonderful girl! See her video being pet!!
This sweet girl was first found on the street, thankfully taken in by a lovely family who is unfortunately being evicted and didn't want to take this sweetheart to a kill shelter or back on the street! They asked us to step in, and thankfully this time we could. We don't have many pics of her yet, but you can see by these she is cute as a button! She prefers to be your one and only kitty. She has been fully vetted, negative for fiv/leuk, updated on all her shots, is microchipped and ready for love!

Meet our tiny friend, Badge! Opal is her formal name but around her foster family she's called, Badger, and more often, just Badge. And, boy, does it suit her. Not difficult to see why. She has adorable black and white markings. Check out her little black chin, her bright white ears, and the little white diamond on her nose. She's also sporting petite little legs and white tip on her tail. Nevermind the dreamy golden gazes you'll receive from those big eyes. Since the day I opened the Animal Care and Control cardboard box she arrived in when she was just three weeks old, she's been purring and plopping down on her back for a little belly rubbing. No kidding, it's her signature move. Another one of her signatures is her scratchy, loving meow when she's letting you know how happy she is for your attention. It will melt your everything.
She likes to nap in the pockets of kitchen sunlight. She loves her wet and dry food, and she's a polite little lady in the litter box. Her favorite toy is... anything. We're trying to teach her to fetch her toy mouse. Sometimes she'll bring it back to us, but more often she takes it off to some dark corner of the apartment. When it's reading or movie time, Badge is always chilling with us on the back of the couch. So far, she's pretty friendly with strangers and other cats. She's not a big fan of being held; she'll allow it but not without some protest. This is just her personality -- some cats like to cuddle up in your lap but don't appreciate being held. That's Badge. And we giggle about it every time we try to hold her. She's her own person and that makes her a very special little girl.
Badge and her sister, Pearl, were saved from Animal Care and Control in Manhattan where they were on the kill list for being too young for adoption. The sisters are about 12 weeks old now and ready for their own forever home. The girls are best buds and we'd love it if they could find a forever home together. They are special ladies and deserve special people!
Badge has not been spayed yet but will be in the next week. She's tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV.
